Mastric Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 Could be change it up so that we have select players clearing orbs during the attempt, to reduce the oopies? Also for the Endless Rage, can the raid group minus the 4 rooted run though the boss to the other side and avoid the AoE? These seem to be other mechanics used, and would target two issues we're having with the fight.
Iammoot Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 Also for the Endless Rage, can the raid group minus the 4 rooted run though the boss to the other side and avoid the AoE? If not everyone moves at the same time, we will all die. The movement would have to be perfect which is near impossible Could be change it up so that we have select players clearing orbs during the attempt, to reduce the oopies? the orbs do 150k in addition to all of the shield damage. This strategy isn't sustainable.
Ward Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 Druids can symbiosis rogues to get cloak and then the druids and rogues can clear the orbs around them
Mastric Posted May 5, 2014 Author Posted May 5, 2014 10.2.2. Endless Rage Phase Even though the change for this phase appears minor, it has a large impact on the strategy. Since players affected by Displaced Energy cannot move, it is up to the rest of the raid to get away from these players. There are currently two working strategies for this phase. The first (and easiest) strategy is to have your raid use a single tank for the boss during this phase, while the rest of the raid spreads out around the room. This tank will need to survive the truly massive amounts of damage that the boss deals (since there will be no other players there to split the damage), so a good chaining of tank and external defensive cooldowns must be used. The Rook's Unlucky Talisman trinket helps greatly with this task. The rest of the raid can take this time to clear up any remaining orbs of corruption, before the end of the phase. The second strategy requires your raid to stack up in front of Malkorok (as you would do normally for this phase), and to then move through the boss to the other side each time Displaced Energy is cast. Doing so ensures that all players who are not rooted will move away from the rooted players. We only advise trying to make use of this if, for some reason, your tank is unable to survive solo-tanking the boss (although this should never be the case). We've done, run though the boss with that Thunder guy From ToT. The other popular strategy is for the group to spread out and leave the strong tank with a trinket there to eat it. Neither of the top 2 involve unrooting, the part we're yet to do twice The orbs remove the sheild yes, I know with my cooldowns i could clear 8-10 orbs b4 it affected my health pool. Then i just have to make sure i'm resheilding b4 i stand in a puddle.
Ward Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 i would have to test if i can solo tank it, but i do have that trinket, would just have to figure out CD rotation, would probably something like rooks and last stand sheild wall and by now i should have enough vengeance to survive a lot with sheild barrier, could also use external CDs like pain supp or guardian angel or such
Ftfk Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 Shadow priests can soak orbs every 90s, but since it looks like I am tanking now we will have to have someone else do it. Blood dk has lots of defensive CDs. Death strikes would be massive dps and healing return. Maybe even an unglyphed army of the dead could help (all of the army adds taunt).
Heldarram Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 Your only able to solo tank it in 10 man and those classes are monk / pally
Mastric Posted May 5, 2014 Author Posted May 5, 2014 http://www.wowhead.com/spell=104773 3 min, not too useful for this http://www.wowhead.com/spell=108416 1 min, 700k Shield http://www.wowhead.com/spell=6229 30s, 70k Shield to Shadow http://www.wowhead.com/spell=143857, 150k Damage on Contact http://www.worldoflogs.com/reports/rt-fe7pifdboy3n84h0/spell/143857/?enc=bosses&boss=71454 Depending on other defensive abilities it appears to hit for around 130k on average. Held are you saying that Ward can't take 1.8M damage with each Melee attack! Moot could do it... http://www.wowhead.com/spell=142879
Berms Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 FYI: You can use the Druid movement speed when the root goes out to clear it. Totally negates the aoe. Only use druid roars!
Ward Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 i think it would be possible for me to solo tank it, just lots of CD's from others i mean cmon, i only have to negate 800k every like 2 seconds at full health, cmon team confirmed by treckie, can solo tank in 25h as any class as long as you have some external love
Pìkachu Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 To do the solo tank strat we need top notch tank skills too bad moot quit
Heldarram Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 negative you can't do it theres no i think i can or no moot could its just a fact
Mastric Posted May 6, 2014 Author Posted May 6, 2014 Well if the easier suggested strat doesn't work, what about the second one What are the odds we'll have two druids with http://www.wowhead.com/spell=77764
Pìkachu Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 Thats a funny looking 10 man And a funny looking monk/pally Thats just a fact
Mannykaiser Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 Why don't we just have a rotation for roars and shit during blood rage phase? We have like 3 or 4 druids, and one of them can symbiosis me for an extra roar if we need it. I think we're just over complicating it
Varlash Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 negative you can't do it theres no i think i can or no moot could its just a fact Brewmaster monks can solo tank it on heroic 25man, iv been saying this since before hauclir left that we need a brewmaster monk
Mastric Posted May 6, 2014 Author Posted May 6, 2014 Why don't we just have a rotation for roars and shit during blood rage phase? Ward Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 i think that its possible for me to solo tank it, it would just be a little rocky those first couple melee swings and maybe a little on the last few
