Pìkachu Posted June 23, 2015 Posted June 23, 2015 Before tomorrow comes we should decide what our plan is going to be heading on into hfc Do we start normal/hc? If normal how far in do we go till we do heroic? With the tiered ilvls it changes how we progress through the instance alot Normal mode starts at ilvl 690 gear scaling up to 705 (from archimonde) Heroic gear starts at 705 scaling up to 720 Weapons/trinkets along with tier having different item levels really shakes up what our plan is DISCUSS BOYS
Varibash Posted June 23, 2015 Posted June 23, 2015 plan is to start heroic to test the waters, first few bosses look fairly easy and shouldnt cause us too much trouble
Mortelinnor Posted June 23, 2015 Posted June 23, 2015 I suggest you speed through normal to see the fights a bit and gauge each boss to better plan heroic progression. That's what we're doing in Rage. Either way, good luck with progression and may you have a tier full of fun and fat loot!
Mastric Posted June 23, 2015 Posted June 23, 2015 Thats what Mort suggested last time, but we went for Heroic a while until one boss and we did that on normal.
Mastric Posted June 23, 2015 Posted June 23, 2015 Na it was for BRF, http://www.atrgamers.com/topic/3311-taking-on-the-foundry/
Lyntha Posted June 23, 2015 Posted June 23, 2015 It didn't make sense for us to waste time on normal BRF because of the ilvl difference. Most of the gear we would have gotten in BRF normal was 665 (They later updated it to 670) due to us having mostly heroic highmaul gear which was 670. BRF: We are at ~670. Normal Drops 665. Heroic Drops 680. So we did Heroic. HFC: We are at ~690. Normal Drops 690 - 705. They basically fixed the awkward scaling from last tier. We will progress slower if we do nothing but normals but the later normal modes do have upgrades for us. I am with Bash on what we do. We go in and try the bosses on heroic. Once we hit a boss that takes us longer than an hour or so, we can switch to normal and work through normals then start chipping away at earlier heroic bosses once we get some more gear.
