Raid Day Changes:

It was voted on and the majority won. New Raid days and times are:

Wednesday and Thursday 7:30pm to 11:00pm EST (server time) (pulling by 7:30pm, not showing up)

We want you to be the very best, like no one ever was:

We have an awesome group of people in this guild, and we have so much potential to be more and better. We have some top world DPS, healers and Qwar, there is no reason why we can't be at least top 3 on the connected servers. I want to put a higher emphasis on pushing each other to be better. The raid is a team, and a team is only as strong as our weakest player, so it's time to make our weakest, stronger then other guilds best. We (the officer core and veteran raiders) will be working with each other to help improve. If someone is struggling with dps, we will help with class research, rotation guilds, UI setup, and what ever it takes to help them improve. Same goes with healing, and tanking. No one is immune from being told they are doing something wrong. Be it dps, or mechanics, I want everyone to support each other and push each other to be the best they can possibly be.

I want everyone to know the fights before we go in, no more showing up with no idea whats going on and needing us to hold your hand every step of the way. That being said, I will keep this forum updated with boss fight strat videos from major youtubers for you all to watch and at least get a general idea of what the fight is about.

This in no way means I want to push to be more hardcore, I simply want everyone to work with each other to help improve the whole team. Pushing each other to be better does not mean we have to create a hostile environment, everyone must be willing to improve and take advice from others. Lets maintain the fun while being better then everyone else!

This extends to officers being more willing to accept advice on how to do a boss strat better. I will be far more open to accept input from the raid team on how something should be done.

Doing more outside of scheduled raids:

I will personally be leading the charge on this one, and anyone will to step up is welcome to do so.

I want to do more outside of raid. Don't get me wrong, raids are a blast and I enjoy our time together every week, but we need to, as a community, out of the main raid.

I want to do more like:

-PVP (both world and battleground groups and arenas)

-Challenge dungeons (everyone should be capable of doing them)

-World bosses

-Legacy raids for achievements and mounts

-group leveling alts

-Other Games (GTA Tuesdays, Overwatch[casual and competitive], League of Legends, minecraft, battlefield etc)

-we don't have to restrict our time together to a singular game

Those are just a few ideas, more are welcome. The idea behind this is if we all enjoy playing together, not just in WoW, but in everything, then we reduce turnover and have to recruit less often.

yeah i cant really do much as far as raiding but as far as doing more outside raids I'm always up for pvp so if anyone ever wants to pvp let me know and ill be there, be it world pvp arenas, or bg's

can play pretty much any class to decent lvls (2100ish rating arenas), (dont mind helping people who aren't as pvp oriented as well to get a little better at it)

also would be up for challenge modes and such as well, just pvp is my favorite to participate in

wtf is GTA Tuesday?

Seriously though, with the raid days taking over GTA Thursday's slot, I'm not sure how much we'll be doing GTA or what day I'll reschedule it to.  It will probably be Monday or Tuesday, but we'll see.

Bash, one thing that probably needs to be a higher focus is Mythic+ dungeons.  The current plan (As far as I am aware, and correct me if I am wrong) is that they provide gear comparable to high-end raid gear, but only once a week when you turn in your keystone.  Having a designated day for it or at least pushing people to do these outside of raid will greatly help us progress.

If we could keep this to forum discussions, on your boss fight video topics, and not during raid in TeamSpeak that would be great too :)

First, let me apologize in advance for being that guy.

While you clearly said you had no intent on making the raid team more hardcore, it certainly does sound like it. Or at the very least, leaning towards "less casual". I have no problem trying that again, despite how it went last time, but do keep in mind that some of our raiders are limited in time and rarely login when it's not raid days. While helping with rotation and class research is fine, it's only a small step before forcing a minimal amount of world quests to be done to maximize artifact power or, as Snugg suggested already, dedicating a day to pushing Mythic + for optimal gear. I'm afraid that would alienate some of the raiders who tend to be more casual.

As for myself, I'm always willing to do old raid and other stuff outside of raid days.*

* As long as it doesn't include parkour races.

Nobody's forcing anything, just as we haven't in the past.  Bash is talking about the guild doing what it can to give our members the tools they need to succeed.  The guild (Mainly through efforts coordinated by the guild officers and long-time members of the guild) will do everything they can to help our members achieve both their personal and the guild's goals.  This will be facilitated through everything that Bash mentioned.

Nothing is mandatory, just as it never has been in the past.  The same rules apply.  If you're not carrying your weight because you do nothing outside of raids (Especially at the start of an xpac), don't be surprised if you get sat for progression.  15 people aren't going to carry 5 people on their back who can't carry themselves.

"on progression fights"

You're right, I missed that part. I guess for progression fights sitting people is sometimes necessary.

The quicker we down progression fights, the sooner we get gear for the people that are in for progression.  The better gear will equal an overall increase in raid performance and makes us better able to bring in more people to those difficult fights and get them geared.  It helps the guild out as a whole, even the people who get sat.
