This is not easily done in Discord and it's hard to tell in game if you have muted your mic or not. Push button is really preferred, and I believe mandatory for our servers, because we don't like hearing people cough, sneeze, burp, etc in our ears. Also, so we don't have to hear @DropShotz007 talk about how much his girlfriend loves him... Edited September 4, 2016 by The_Real_1hit To add something 2 Quote

Mastric Posted September 5, 2016 Posted September 5, 2016 While it's only enforced on some WoW channels TS does allow us to force PTT. Would be nice if discord had thisSent from my SM-N930V using ATR Gamers mobile app Quote
OONicc Posted September 5, 2016 Posted September 5, 2016 Tonight I have decided to go with and choose " Team Speak " I think Discord is good, easy, cool, but... I prefer Team Speak. That's just me tho. Sent from my iPhone using ATR Gamers mobile app Quote
blacklaw Posted September 5, 2016 Posted September 5, 2016 I have also decided to go with TS unless we are forced to use discord i will be in TS Quote
Unholy Posted September 5, 2016 Author Posted September 5, 2016 Yup. For now TS. Discord is getting there, but not quite cooked enough. Quote
Mastric Posted September 5, 2016 Posted September 5, 2016 A bridge would be a cool item to make, I was also toying around with the idea of "Ghosts" or Fake AFK clients in TeamSpeak for each person in discord. Quote
CaptShank Posted September 6, 2016 Posted September 6, 2016 I'm fine with either. Seems back to TS for now but come BF1 launch we might want to give Discord a go again to see if it gets popped by more casuals from our servers. The fact that was said earlier, that it can be browser based really has the chance to bring in new people. Quote
phxman Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 I have no problem with Discord but I had no problems with TS either. The chat in Discord is kinda cool although I have not used it much. Quote
ADrunkRedneckk Posted September 10, 2016 Posted September 10, 2016 I dont mind either one im familiar with both Quote
SnipeR Posted September 12, 2016 Posted September 12, 2016 I honestly have no problem with discord but i like teamspeak better. From a community standpoint we would probably get more people to randomly join ts as opposed to discord but i dont mind it Quote
JackalOsiris Posted October 7, 2016 Posted October 7, 2016 Pugs have an easier time getting into discord if they don't have TS already installed because you can connect via browser and not download a client. So it is good if the goal is to get more people into a community or you do open to public events, otherwise TS, I believe, will serve you better.Sent from my XT1650 using ATR Gamers mobile app Quote

OONicc Posted November 1, 2017 Posted November 1, 2017 I think its time we re-visit Discord, lot of time has passed and I think it will work better than Team Speak. I am currently using and liking Discord. Let the Discussion Begin..! 1 Quote
TheRealKrobar Posted November 1, 2017 Posted November 1, 2017 I've been using Discord for when I am not playing the same game as all the rest of you. I've had it set up for...gosh...a long time now, I don't remember, but prior to when this thread first started. The chat is super nice, I use it on my phone so I can check in with friends about playing games later when I'm at work and stuff. Resources, like Mastric, why would I have less than 32gb of RAM? As a benefit, many people use it and are in channels for popular streamers or other gaming communities and it's little work to have them click the button to join our server. Pro tip: Make a permanent link that can be posted on the ATR site for people to join our server. 1 Quote
8BitAnubis Posted November 1, 2017 Posted November 1, 2017 All your fancy game badge plug0-ins might not work but I think there silly anyway. 1 Quote
