A: LAN stands for Local Area Network. A LAN party is an event where people bring their computers or consoles, connect them together in a network, and play video games with one another. It's a social event that combines the thrill of gaming and the joy of hanging out with fellow gaming enthusiasts.
Q: What is Capital LAN 2024?
A: Capital LAN 2024 is a four-day LAN party that features tournaments, events, free play, prize drawings, and giveaways. BYOC Attendees bring their own computer or console equipment and play games in a social, fun environment. General Admission allows access to all our other activities and Table Top gaming.
Q: When and where is Capital LAN 2024?
A: Capital LAN 2024 is scheduled for August 15th - 18th, 2024 at the Hilton Garden Inn Troy - Troy, NY. Doors open at 5 PM on Thursday and Close at 5 PM on Sunday.

Q: What do I need to bring to Capital LAN 2024?
A: Attendees of the BYOC ticket are required to bring their own computer or console equipment. You'll have a 48" table space and three power outlets for your equipment. You can also bring your own chair for comfort. A CAT6 network cable will be pre-installed at your table for internet connectivity.
For a helpful checklist of items don't forget;

- Keyboard

- Wireless Device Chargers
- Hoodie (While it is warm outside, to combat PC heat the AC may be chilly.
You do not need to bring;
- Surge Protector (Preinstalled, load balanced, and monitored)
- Network Cable (Preinstalled, tested, CAT6)
- Chair (Every seat comes with a Herman Miller Mirra Chair, but you can still bring your own preference)
