Excellent work guys. GL on Elegon. A good benchmark for you on that fight is the adds in phase 1. If you can't get to phase 2 the first time around (85%) before the third add spawns, you WILL NOT make the enrage timer.
-
Just ask Unholy in game or send him a PM, he'll take care of you ;-)

We could probably 4 heal spirit kings in 25man. The healing is pretty high and constant during the first phase so you might feel like you need 3 healers at first but after the first wave, there is SO little healing to do. I'm pretty sure that our guild first kill of spirit kings was actually in 2 10mans and we 2-healed with both groups. Just remember, healing is high during first guy but a complete joke for the rest. In the 25man, I just pop RM and Chi Wave on CD and otherwise kite around skulls or just derp around. So yes, try 2-healing it. It should be pretty easy. On that note, Elegon is DEFINITELY a 2-heal fight and Zorlok is DEFINITELY a 3-heal (Maybe even 4-heal) fight.
-
Elegon is going to be really tough on your DPS. First boss of HoF (Zor'lok) is going to be tough on your healers. If you have 2 really good healers and can fill up the rest with good DPS (No carrying people), go for Elegon. If you have 3 good healers, go for Zor'Lok. We 2-healed Elegon 10m and the healing was WAY easier than 3-healing zor'lok. Although the end was kind of rough (Lots of burst healing needed), it's really not too bad.

We're just going through a rough week Zenzae . Take it easy buddy, and I hope you find what you're looking for, it was a pleasure raiding with you.

They should be raiding with who they want to raid with us. There is no "Dibs" or "My group is more important than yours". If they want to raid with your group because it fits their schedule better, they're raiding with your group. Let us know though, because it affects recruiting. -

Tell that to the clothies who have to compete with 10 people for every piece of gear -

Yeah, he likes raiding with us and we like having him. He just can't raid Sundays and if we were gonna yank the rug out from under him and make another mandatory raid day, he had no choice -

We're all in this together and we want people to raid with whichever group best fits their schedule. I am glad that we have this 10man running and we did "Lose" a couple of people to your group, but it's their choice and we're fine with it. Maurs was worried about us switching to running 3 days a week again, but after some more thinking and consideration, we decided that this wasn't the best idea and we're sticking to 2 mandatory and 1 optional day. So Maurs is sticking with our group for now I think. -

Fabbible? Do you mean Fappable (Unholy, wru) or Fallible? I can't tell. -

Hence why it's a "rebel's logic like post". Nobody can take the place of Rebel and his infallible logic. Worked great for everyone else. Personally, I would just bubble hearth when you died. Worked great for me especially! -
Most of the important DPS and most of your time spent is on trash, which isn't lvl 93. Hell, it's probably more DPS to be hit-capped for the trash only and pour it into other stats. I would say just go with whatever gear you have. If you lose hit/expertise, you'll be fine.
-
Ahh yes, excellent. Updated information. Thanks Vile. So this looks to be a total PITA then
-
Hit does NOT go with it. Your hit and expertise stay the same while the other stats are reduced more. Blue post: http://us.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/6019532199?page=2

The great part about mumble is the attenuation. Basically, you can listen to music at a reasonable level and when anyone talks, it will reduce the sound of everything else on your system by about half so that you can hear Mumble. It's an awesome feature . -
Hey everyone. I normally prefer to talk about guild-wide issues in-game but I wanted to post a quick blurb just to give everyone an update on what's been happening the past week and what our plans are for the future. Past week: This week's raid was bad. I'm not gonna sugarcoat it. The expectations for the raid are a lot higher and I don't expect to take 5 hours to kill 4 easy farm bosses. Some of you are frustrated and I understand and can't disagree. The people that ARE frustrated, however, don't see the whole picture. We just had a freaking hurricane rip through the East Coast, leaving a lot of people without electricity. The fights we wiped on the most (Feng and New guy in HoF) could have been made much smoother if we weren't missing half of our healing crew. Although mistakes were made on feng, we might have been able to heal through it if we had one more geared healer. Literally, we were missing half of the healers that we started with just a few weeks ago. Who in particular? Maurs - No power due to hurricane Chillr - Was here Tuesday, not here Wednesday. Have no idea where he was at. Eternal - Was here last week, none at all this week. I have no idea where he is at. Yoshye - Apparently he quit the game entirely! This was entirely unexpected. Losing 4 core healers (Only 3 on Tuesday) is absolutely crippling and we are lucky that we even killed the 4 farm bosses, to be honest. We were also missing some DPS players, some due to the hurricane (Zenzae), some due to people leaving (Sazda left to find a guild more suitable to his preferred level of progression), and some due to people heading to the 10man as it better fits their schedule (Tychondris and Eveningbark). The hurricane coupled with quite a few personnel changes means that we had quite a few new people or casuals in. To all of these members: THANK YOU. You went into a rather hostile raid environment on fights that you didn't know and did your best. Without your help, the bosses wouldn't have died. For that, we thank you. It's a testament to the social nature of this guild that we can be down almost 10 people and still be able to raid and still kill hard bosses because of how our casuals are there for us. Thanks guys! This is why I love this guild! Going forward: We have already implemented plan A, codeword "Sacrifice Moot to the Raid Gods" several times last night. While amazingly amusing, the raid gods did not seem to instantly bless us with more healers and more ranged DPS. Oh well, still worth it. We are now on to plan B, codeword "Recruit more goddamn people". We had two new permanent additions in to our raid last night with Chartul and Moot. We also have Bigtimz (Resto/Boomkin Druid), Brennyth (Healing Priest) and Baneraiser (Lock) gearing up to try to raid with us. Chartul and Moot are both long-time members of the guild who have not been able to raid recently but should be stalwart raiders for us going forward. Bigtimz was a cata applicant for MoP raiding and some things came up which prevented him from leveling up when MoP came out. Brennyth and Bane are two more former raiders from Cata. We otherwise just need to get the word out that we are recruiting more healers and more Ranged DPS!!! Please make an awesome little recruiting macro and hit it a few times when you're in org. Tell your friends about the awesomeness that is ATR if they are looking to raid! Due to us having 4 tanks and 8 melee DPS, we really just do NOT have any open spots for melee DPS or tanks, but ranged DPS and Healer spots are open. In particular, we are looking for the following: (In order of desire) 1 Hunter 1 Mage 1 Ele Shaman - Preferably one who can heal as well 1 Warlock When it comes to healers, we are looking for the following (In order of desire): 1 Healing Shammy 1 Healing priest (Either disc or holy) 1 Healing Druid Our path of progression: We had the opportunity last night to try the first boss in Heart of Fear and he's not that tough! However, he does require a MASSIVE amount of burst healing, and we just need more geared healers to get through that. My hope is that next week, we have Chillr, Maurs and Eternal back in action. If we don't, we have Thundere and Necro (On his shammy) able to heal for us. This boss is our number on priority. After he's down, boss #2 in HoF is our new priority as he is not that much harder than the first boss according to most people. The third boss is massively more difficult, with most guilds considering it more of a heroic-mode tuned encounter and you need massive amounts of HPS and DPS to make it through. These requirements are going to cause us to put off this boss until we get more gear. At this point, we'll head back and work on Elegon then Will of Emperor. Once Will of Emperor is down, we'll decide at that point where to go next. The only change to this progression path is going to be if we don't have enough healers for HoF. If we have 6 or less healers, we're heading to Elegon! I have been reading up on Elegon and found a lot of little tips and tricks that will make this fight a lot easier for us in the future. We can also under-heal it as the healing, while intense, is not BURST healing and I think that our healers could make it through as long as we watch our mana. Just to reiterate: *If we have enough healers: HoF Boss 1 --> HoF Boss 2 --> Elegon --> WoE --> ??? --> Profit *If we don't have enough healers: Elegon --> WoE --> Hopefully we have enough healers by this point

No, I get that. But bash was dead set for farming Uld10 instead.
-
I thought you said that we were gonna do Ulduar 10?
-
Gratz guys. Feng is actually a really hard fight! Gara'jal and Spirit kings were significantly easier for us than the first two. Keep up the great work.

Well stated

As I said in a recent PM to Sazda, you and him both want what's best for the guild, although it's fairly obvious that you two have some differing opinions and some personalty clashes. Just remember Bash, that no matter how annoying Sazda may seem to be to you, he is only trying to help. Last I checked, none of us are perfect and the collective efforts of multiple people is going to be greater than the efforts of one person. Also remember that you are just as annoying to him as he is to you
-
I'll be shooting my Mosin today so I won't be on till later . And Bash, I see where he's coming from. My rules DID state that the timer was to be started at 8, not at 7:30. That's not what happened last night and even I asked in officer chat why the hell the timer was started so early. I apologize for not escalating it from there Sazda, but I have to pick where to concentrate my energies. I laid out a good start for the DKP system but it's now in the assist GM's and GM's hands. They're responsible for it. Although the officers' opinions are heard with regards to DKP, the final decisions and running of the system are up to them. Me and bash have no control over it, so you should be talking to Gump about it. I understand how this seems like a bullshit answer, and to be honest it kind of is, but I really don't give a shit about the DKP system. I try to focus on having us progress, teaching fights, etc. My focus as an officer is on the raid-leading. Just like you wouldn't go to the CFO of a company for IT issues or the CIO of a company for financial issues, I'm not the best person to handle questions about the DKP system. Gump doesn't read the forums during the day (He actually has a real job where he can't sit on the computer all day) so talking to him in-game is the best way to reach him. So now that I batted the DKP issue into the GM and assist GM's court, is there anything else that we're still debating here?
-
Well bash, his argument was that we weren't sticking to the written rules, which is a valid complaint. Regarding Sazda: The 25-man raid is a more casual affair than our 10-man raid. Last night was focused on learning the mechanics as a whole and getting repeatable results while allowing the raid to get used to the mechanics. That list is very valuable but doesn't take into consideration the many variables that would affect charge DPS. If you, Justice and Ghost were all on the same spark, your collective DPS would be way less because the add would die way faster. Another factor is how quickly people learn and adapt to the transition change. Not to mention just plain getting used to the fight, getting used to CD timers, etc. It's very clear that if you got beat by a healer you need to work at it, or if you were at the bottom, you need to work at it, but you can't cut everything up into a black and white decision of "Player A is good, Player B is bad". Some people just plain take longer to get used to the fights. Also, in Gump's example, he was having severe mana issues at first because his rune of power wasn't working due to a bug in how it interacts with the middle platform. There's so many factors that need to be worked out in a fight this complex. There's no sense fretting over people's individual DPS when we need to fix the entire raid's coordination first. How many charges got to the pillars means precisely DICK when we're not making through the second phase 1. Your feedback is valuable, but what the heck was bugging you so badly last night?
