  1. How did I beat two dps who were in the whole night? I'm a freaking healer. Regardless, good list, thanks. I'm gonna use the list to split people up accordingly. For example, I'll have the following groups: #1 #12 #13 #2 #11 #14 #3 #10 #15 #4 #9 #16 #5 #8 #17 #6 #7 #18 This should help spread out DPS a lot better. Up re-reading the list, did a hunter pet seriously beat 3 of our DPSers? We gotta pick it up, that's not excusable.

  4. That's still a bad idea thanks to Arcing Energy and Stability Flux. Arcing Energy is the random high damage to raid members. I'm pretty sure that it will one-shot people above 15 stacks. Stability flux is the tick that the adds cast from 25-0 and although it probably won't kill them outright, it will at the very least get them extremely low. I don't like it. The way I plan on doing the fight is having the melee stick on adds anyways so when the tanks rotate out to drop stacks, melee can do it too with little to no impact to their DPS.

    Eh, our officers aren't the best communicators. It's one of my strengths so people tend to gravitate towards talking to me about stuff or seeing me as a more visible leader, but trust me when I say that the officers care about the guild as much as I do (Or in many cases, even more) and work as hard as I do (Again in many cases, even harder). We all want what is best for the guild. Despite any verbal clashes that happen, we love having you around Sazda. I don't know if it's your personality or just your german culture, but you seem to never be afraid to say what's on your mind and never BS us. We appreciate you being forthcoming with us. Heck, the officers have disagreements over stuff all the time too. We're kind of like a big happy family that fights occasionally. If we DON'T iron out these disagreements, one party will just be mega super pissed all the time and eventually either explode on his fellow guildies or leave. I guess what I'm trying to say is that we truly do appreciate the feedback. We're not perfect and sometimes we don't realize we made mistakes until someone calls us out on them.

    Edit: On a related note, a lot of your problems seem to stem from the fact that you feel like the officers aren't worrying about this problem. We ARE, and we solved the issue last night with changes to be implemented next week. That being said, some of the officers' attitiudes towards you have been less than civil as they always feel on the defensive when dealing with you. Just calm down man and stop being so on the offensive with us. This isn't some grand conspiracy, it's us doing what we think is best for the guild and when our members provide feedback to us, we DO listen and we DO make changes - as can be seen by the changes that were decided on last night and will be put into effect next week.

    I see where you're coming from Saz. This specific scenario was never covered in the rules as the items were designed to be bid on one at a time but it was something that the officers never considered. I would be upset myself as well. The bottom line is that the officers made a mistake. We now need to move past it and fix the situation, which the loot officers have. A tweaked system will be put into place next week that is simpler and intuitive. Sorry that you had something done to your DKP which you didn't anticipate but cut us some slack - We are implementing a brand new DKP system during the first weeks of a new xpac with a large number of new raiders. We're fixing things as we go and identifying and resolving situations as they come up. We're not perfect but we won't make the same mistake twice.

    There is no right or wrong answer. What you are proposing would certainly work well but can be a bit confusing. The loot officers decided to go with a slightly different, more easily understandable system for the start of next week. A post will be forthcoming. I don't give one shit about loot because the people who show up WILL eventually get all the loot they need. It's a means to an end.
  9. While rare, if one of your healers will be going off-spec as melee, you DEFINITELY only want 1 melee max. What if it's a 1-tank, 2 heal fight? You're already at 3 melee, unless you got some SUPER weird setup like a druid tank going boomkin as dps. Either that or have your 11th. player be a melee so you can optimize if a fight is melee unfriendly. Definitely go with 11 people. I've seen way too many good 10man groups fall apart because one guy didn't show up. Don't be that group. Although some of your guys will want to raid EVERY raid, others won't mind a day or few hours off from raiding. It's usually not too hard to find a volunteer to sit if needed.

  11. Do you have anyone that can go off-spec DPS when you don't need 3 healers? Some of the later fights in MSV right now kind of require 2 healers due to strict enrage timers. It'd be best if it were a ranged dps, obviously. Also, have you considered going with 11 people? You don't wanna be stuck and not being able to raid if one guy doesn't show up (Which WILL happen - stuff comes up).
  12. Just a tip: I would recommend you go with another ranged dps if you're looking. You gotta think about 1 tank fights - Your other tank will go melee, giving you 3 melee. Most fights are awful towards melee.
  13. When our 25M flamed out at the end of DS and went to 10man, we just went to a /roll system and it worked great.
  14. I don't mean to hijack your thread but the 3 days things is still TBD. When I put up the poll initially on the forums, the feedback was universally to go 2 days. But the people voting were probably all of the most veteran people who have been raiding DS non-stop for the past year and would like a break. Now I'm getting a lot more feedback that people will want to do 3 days. We'll see how Sunday look but I'm thinking that it'll be 2 days in the end with Sunday being optional and largely 10mans.
