    Hunters

Darkhuntar was alone since I joined this guild at start of xpac. It would have been a bit awkward if he was talking to himself the whole time!
  2. Cool, thanks for the tips Prydain. Im wondering if we should split into two groups on opposite sides or stay together.
  3. Yup, we're gonna all pop that since there won't be any damage going out from us.
  4. I don't get how that will help. You're extending the life of the mana-sucking mob. Am I missing something?
  5. Please refer to the following guide: http://www.icy-veins.com/hagara-the-stormbinder-detailed-strategy This fight adds some wrinkles to the fight but since each phase is compartmentalized, we can definitely make good progress on this fight by focusing on one phase at a time. To summarize: Normal Phase: Focused Assault is castable while moving. We're going to try to have hunters taunt for it. Ice Lance puts up a debuff on the player taking damage. This will NOT kill the player but being targeted by shattered ice will. 6-8 ranged dps will take crystals. We will have shammies in their group dropping grounding totems as grounding will absord shattered ice. Ice Phase: Debuff gets put on random raid members which reduces their speed and causes them to drop an AOE slow when dispelled. As soon as people get this, they are going to run into the middle then get dispelled. I want to try breaking up into 2 groups of 12/13 with 3 healers each. One healer will dispel, the other two will spam heals like crazy on the person who has the debuff. Lightning Phase: Damage is more extreme. There are storm pillars that explode for nature damage. Since tanking a conductor increases your nature damage taken, this can be a problem. We just have to do this phase perfectly. That's it! Other than more HP and more tank dmg, that's all that's different.
  6. This needs more bump!
  7. Hagara is the next fight according to WoWprogress. Here's the % numbers for 25M and 10M guilds: 10M: Morchok (37.53%) --> Yor'Sahj (17.53%) --> Ultrax (12.31%) --> Zon'ozz (8.66%) --> Hagara (6.75%) --> Blackhorn (2.87%) --> Spine (.9%) --> Madness (.37%) 25M: Morchok (48.7%) --> Hagara (26.65%) --> Yor'Sahj (18.80%) --> Zon'ozz (13.78%) --> Ultrax (10.81%) --> Blackhorn (7.17%) --> Spine (3.37%) --> Madness (2.76%) The numbers are higher for 25man because more of the 25man guilds are actually serious raiding guilds whereas a lot of 10mans are more casual runs, alt runs, or new/disorganized groups. We should clearly be focusing on Hagara next. Thank you very much for the info on Yor'Sahj however Prydain, we will double back to it later when we get Hagara down.
  8. Totally not the intent but ok
  9. Bump this thread guys! We really need to recruit hard!
  10. Who are you?
  11. That should be interesting.
  12. Good luck buddy
  13. Noted, thanks
  14. There is a need for that. It allows: 1.) AOE Heals to be at their maximum effectiveness. This does not matter for 10man as each group is only 5 people, but in 25man, AOE ground effects, LoD etc are able to ensure that they don't get wasted. It helps the stability of the raid as well. 2.) It allows healers to worry about healing more and being in position less. You need 7 people to take each crystal. That means that healers will be tanking crystals unless melee are there. Still, it brings up a good point. We have the tanks move to the crystals so that healers dont have to move, but it basically guarantees that healers will HAVE to move after that crystal explodes. Let me think about this.
  15. He will naturally move a LOT because of crystal spawns so I'd prefer to just take 5 minutes and clear the extra trash. Otherwise, this strat is exactly the same as what we're doing already. Thanks though.
  16. Best of luck in your meeting!!
  17. We will most likely NOT be raiding on this day. Tuesday is 1-8 LFR then as far as we can get into normals. Wednesday will be finishing off normals. Unless we have major attendance or performance issues, we'll be done mid-day Wednesday.
  18. lol. You make the run, you make the rules
  19. Arent you a healer?
  20. Regarding respect/snippiness issues: When I was one of the more active raid-leaders, I liked to be fully hands-on. The officers who are raid-leading now are a bit more contemplative when it comes to addressing issues. I liked to head things off immediately, they like to be more contemplative about things. For example: after a wipe, I liked to instantly recap what we could do better and say what we're gonna do differently next time. I liked to do that because it was still fresh in everyone's minds and to head off comments from other people (To keep feedback to our raiders more centralized). Although I haven't raided much recently, when I have I've seen that people are generally most snippy right after a wipe and like to call people out to fix errors. Let the officers do their thing. If you guys see something, let them know. Let the raid-wide communication go through them. I had tons of people whisper me with stuff constantly when I was RLing. Give the other officers a chance to receive and process this information instead of just blurting it out. Otherwise, thanks Zenzae! Edit: Regarding LFR: Does anybody actually still NEED LFR Gear? How many people are still rocking 378 or lower pieces? When i said that we were probably going to stop running it, that was based on the assumption that almost nobody still needed gear.
  21. Let us know if you wanna just fold the remaining into the 25man or start your own. Im pretty sure that Prydain's group is on hiatus too. Maybe form a new 10man or fold into our 25M? Raiding is srs bzness
  22. Maybe he's just a beast
  23. Healing is one of those things where at this point of the game, you can't just pick it up and expect to do as well as our core. It's completely different from DPSing. I have no doubt that you COULD be great at it, but not in a situation where we're like "Yeah, we're short a Healer tonight, unholy can you respec to healing". You really need somebody who heals a lot (Even if on an alt) to be decently successful at it. Losing a DTR DPS would also suck.
  24. Fights are ALWAYS about DPS though Vile. If one raid does 10% more dps, the fight ends 10% sooner. On average, healers have to conserve 10% less mana. They can then heal 10% more and go oom at the same time. Higher DPS = Higher HPS. This isn't always true of course and the math is totally a guess but the point remains. A healer who's in a guild that kills a boss 20% faster has to work a lot less hard and conserve mana a lot less than a healer who's in a guild that kills the boss 20% slower. Not to even mention the gearing difference that that makes when healers can forgo regen stats in favor of throughput stats. This isn't even counting if a guild can drop dps for healers, which obviously people do on Morchok. MUST 10 HEAL IT. Also, LOL @ the video. We should totally do that, rofl.
